Food For Thought – December 3, 2019
Today’s thought (2 Cor. 1:3-4) – The Lord loves His children every second of every day, yet, do His children love all of those around them every second of every day?
Our thought for today comes from:
Look at what Paul praises the Lord for in this passage of scripture. Paul praises the Lord for His mercies. He then praises the Lord for His comforting love in all of what we go through. This is the love of our God, right? God is a provider, protector, and comforter to all of us His children. Now, pay close attention to how Paul says this type of the Father shows His children, should rub off on the children and they should treat others that way.
It typically takes for it to the Holiday season before we begin to think about caring for others. God doesn’t wait to a certain time of year before He starts to care for you and for me. God cares for us all of the time. We live in this world with one another to love each other. Paul says we should comfort one another in the same manner that the Lord comforts us in our time of trouble and need. Let’s not wait until one time of year before we start loving one another. Let us do as our Father who loves us all of the time.
